Frequently asked questions
Who is APEX for?
High school distance runners, grades 9–12, who work hard and want to find out how good they can be. Training runs year-round.
Utah or remote: what’s the difference?
In Utah, you train with the group in person. Remote, you train where you live. Same plan, same weekly review, same coach.
When does the next season start?
Winter and indoor training starts November 1. You can request consideration any time.
How does joining work?
1. Send one request for your family. About three minutes.
2. Coach McGyver reads it. If it’s a fit, you book an introductory call.
3. Athletes we accept get an invitation to the APEX portal.
4. A waiver, one checkout and a short profile.
Is APEX a paid membership?
Yes. We share the details after the introductory call, before anyone joins.
How are parents involved?
From the start: a parent’s email on every request, parents on the introductory call, and parents copied on messages to athletes under 18.
Who coaches the athletes?
Coach McGyver Clark, Head Coach.
How does APEX approach training?
Health first. Plans start where you are, build gradually and adjust to your feedback and data.
What is the team like?
Ambitious runners who work hard and have fun together.
What happens to the information we send?
We use it to review the request, verify marks and reply. We never sell it or use it for advertising.
